Notes
Dahlia tubers are living plant material and are sold as a seasonal pre-sale. Tubers are grown, lifted, divided and checked by hand here at Thistle & Weeds in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria.
Shipping usually begins from mid to late October, once tubers are checked, packed and ready.
HOW TO GROW DAHLIAS
- Plant after risk of frost has passed
- Requires 6hrs+ full sun for best flowering
- Plant tubers sideways, 15cm deep in well draining soil
- Space 30-40cm apart per tuber
- Water in lightly, then as shoots emerge
- Pinch at 20cm height to encourage branching
- Cut often, the more you cut, the more they bloom!
