your questions answered

Dahlia tubers are living plant material, and we take their handling seriously. We dig, divide, count and check our tubers by hand before release, and we only sell stock we believe we can confidently supply.

Please read the notes below before ordering so you understand how pre-sale, shipping and plant health are handled.

dahlia tubers

Return & Refund policy

Each dahlia tuber is carefully inspected by hand prior to dispatch to ensure it is healthy and viable.

Tubers are packed in paper and vermiculite to protect them during transit and are shipped in late spring (October through November) once eyes are visible to support successful growth.

Important Notes

  • If a shoot is damaged during transit, this does not affect viability. The tuber will produce a new shoot from the existing eye.
  • While every effort is made to remove any plants showing signs of virus, we cannot guarantee tubers are virus-free. Dahlias can carry dormant symptoms or become infected during the growing season.
  • Once received, tuber performance is influenced by factors outside our control, including weather, soil conditions, planting method, pests and storage.

For best results, please refer to our growing guide.

Issues on Arrival

If there is a problem with your tuber on arrival, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include clear photographs of the issue.

Variety Accuracy

Great care is taken when dividing, labelling and packing tubers. However, as a natural product, occasional mix-ups can occur.

Refunds

Where a genuine issue is identified, a refund will be provided. We do not offer replacements.
